Arrival Day

Upon your arrival at Arusha (ARK)/Kilimanjaro (JRO) Airport, you will meet the driver for your transfer to the hotel, which will take less than one hour.  Overnight at Arusha town.

Day 1 ARUSHA NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast you will take 40 minutes’ drive to Arusha National Park with picnic lunch in hand. The entrance gate leads to the mountain forest inhabited by blue monkeys and colorful turacos and trogons – the only place on the northern safari circuit where black-and-white colobus monkey is easily seen. In the midst of the forest stands the spectacular Ngurdoto Crater, whose steep, rocky cliffs enclose a wide marshy floor dotted with herds of buffalo and warthog.

Further north, rolling grassy hills enclose the tranquil beauty of the Momela Lakes, each one a different hue of green or blue. Their shallows sometimes look pink with thousands of flamingos, the lakes support a rich selection of resident and migrant water birds, and waterbucks display their large horns on the watery borders. Giraffes, zebra herds, dik-dik can also be spotted. After the game drive you will drive back to Arusha for dinner and overnight

Day 2 TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast you will drive to Tarangire National Park. The drive will take around two and a half hours. You will see firsthand all that Tarangire National Park is known for – the famous ancient baobab trees, tree climbing pythons, and the largest concentration of African elephants, lions, leopards, cheetah. After a picnic lunch in midday, you will resume your afternoon game drive where you’ll encounter other animals such as, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, other antelope’s species in rich numbers and birds, then drive to Karatu for dinner and overnight.

Day 3 LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, you will drive to Lake Manyara National Park for full day safari with picnic lunches in hand. The park is situated inside of the Great Rift Valley with a   distinctive evergreen forest that provides suitable habitat for olive baboons, monkeys, big families of elephants, tree climbing lions, and African cape buffalos. Midday you will enjoy lunch in the park before setting out for the open woodland areas where you will set your sights on giraffes, hippos and flamingos. After afternoon game drive, you will drive to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 4 LAKE EYASI- HADZABE AND DATOGA VISIT

On this day you will enjoy a full day of exploring Lake Eyasi. You’ll start by visiting the local bushman (Hadzabe) and learn about their hunting-gathering lifestyle before joining them in a simulated bow and arrow hunt. Later in the day you’ll spend some time with the Hadzabe, considered to be Africa’s traditional ironsmiths, and observe as they use charcoal ovens to smelt iron and steel from local ore and get to know the relationship that these two ethnic groups have. In the midday you will have a picnic lunch then drive back to Karatu for the preparation of the next day adventures.

Day 5 NGORONGORO CRATER

You’ll descend into the crater very early in the morning for a game drive with a picnic lunch midday. Often considered the 8th Wonder of the World, the crater is a very important refuge for a variety of wildlife. Most commonly seen are big bulls of elephants and the vulnerable species of black rhinos. The crater is also home to big herds of wildebeest and zebras, thomson and grant gazelles, hippopotamus, African cape buffalos, prides of lions, hyenas, serval cats, golden and black backed jackals, and close to 400 species of bird, then take 4 hours game enroute to Serengeti national park at the camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 6 SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

You have a full day of excursions in the Serengeti National Park on this day, enjoying morning and afternoon game drives from the camp. The center of the Serengeti, called Seronera, is a network of rivers that ensure dependable water supplies attracting wildlife throughout the year. It is   here that you’ll have your best opportunity to spot the “Big Five”: lions, elephants, buffalo, rhino, and the leopard. There will be no shortage of animal sightings as the presence of permanent mud pools and shade attract giraffes, impalas, warthogs, and hippos. You might also catch a glimpse of cheetahs, hyenas and jackals.

Day 7 SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast you will have a morning game drive at the center of Serengeti followed by a game enroute to the western side of the park close to the lake a small town called Lamadi. For dinner and overnight.

Day 8 LAKE VICTORIA

After breakfast you will be picked by a local guide for a walk to the lake. The lake’s basin area covers 92,240 square miles (238,900 square km). The lake is of beneficial to the local community around, due to the fact that it has more than 200 species of fish, of which the Tilapia is the most economically important, thus you will get to see how fishing as the main activity in the area is done through different traditional ways by the local fishermen, then get an experience at the big open fish market then drive back to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 9 SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK.

After breakfast you will drive back to the Serengeti enjoying game enroute all the way to the central part of the Serengeti having lunch along the way. There will be no shortage of animal sightings as the presence of permanent mud pools and shade attract giraffes, impalas, warthogs, and hippos. You might also catch a glimpse of cheetahs, hyenas and jackals. Before driving back to the camp you can enjoy the beautiful Serengeti sunset depending on the weather, then drive straight to the camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 10 KARATU

Enjoy your last game viewing in the Serengeti and in afternoon proceed to Karatu via Ngorongoro conservation while enjoying the scenic views of the southern Serengeti plains and the crater expecting to get to the hotel around 5 for relaxation.

Day 11 ARUSHA TOWN TOUR

After breakfast you will take 3 hours’ drive to Arusha for the town tour. The tour includes, visiting the Central Market in downtown Arusha, a “happening” place, full of people and activities, and visiting Arusha’s largest hand crafts market. Local lunch in down town then proceed to the airport for a scheduled flight
